Piedmont, which lies on the eastern slope of the Black Hills,
  takes its name from a French word meaning, "the foot of the mountain".

Piedmont Board of Trustees : Regular Meetings on the 1st & 3rd Tuesdays of each month at 6:30 p.m.  
Planning Meetings on the 2nd & 4th Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m.
Piedmont Planning & Zoning Meetings on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 5:30 p.m.
Piedmont Library Board Meetings on the 4th Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m.

Every year the Town of Piedmont monitors your drinking water for possible contaminates.  Pick up your report now to find out where your water comes from, what it contains, and how it compares to Environmental Protection Agency and State standards.

OPEN BURN PERMIT
Prior to an open burn, residents within the city limits of Piedmont must obtain a South Dakota Department of Agriculture Burn Permit. There are two options:
1) Call 1-800-275-4955 Mon-Fri between 8 AM and 4:30 PM. You will be issued a username and password over the phone for you to use the next time you call in.
  OR
2) Click on this link, available 24/7. You will need to create a username and password.
